This initiative brought a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘shock jocks’ – Red set out to demonstrate the toughness of Community Orders by sentencing local radio DJs to fulfil one. In a climate of public doubt and negative media perception, Red was asked to help demonstrate that Community Orders are a viable alternative to prison for certain offenders.

10 DJ’s were sentenced in total and as a result over 23 million people had the opportunity to hear about the campaign (a 500% increase on target). In addition, there was a 10% increase in awareness of Community Orders & their toughness in specific areas where DJs on service were broadcast
