ESRI (UK) has appointed The Red Consultancy as its UK PR agency.
Red’s remit for ESRI (UK) – the market leader for geographic information systems (GIS) technology - will be to build and enhance the company’s profile in the different sectors it operates, as well as popularise in the national media the breadth and depth of GIS use in business and society. This will involve supporting the GIS for Schools initiative which ESRI (UK) is spearheading. The PR programme will also involve industry analyst relations.
Ruth Adams, Communications & PR Consultant at ESRI (UK), said: “There was a very high calibre of agencies pitching for our business, but in the end we chose Red for their understanding and insight of the brief. They clearly understood our brand values, our objectives and the results we expect to drive our business forward.”
David Vindel, Head of Technology at Red, said: “ESRI is the leader in its field, and one of the largest private software companies in the world. Our role will be to communicate how GIS is an indispensable part of our daily lives as well as making GIS a technology the boardroom need to be aware of.”
