The Red Consultancy has appointed David Vindel to its board of directors, where he will hold the position of Head of Technology.
He will spearhead a new market division focussing on B2B technology, further enhancing the company’s growing technology practice, working alongside board director Vicki Fox, who heads up the agency’s Consumer Technology practice.
The new offer will add to existing client work for Microsoft, McAfee and Capgemini and will attract new business in this growth sector. He will report to agency managing director Andrew Baiden.
David joins from Band & Brown Communications, where he led the technology practice for several years, and where more recently he held the position of deputy managing director, responsible for the agency’s global network Bandwidth. During his tenure at the Band & Brown, he worked on technology blue chip clients BT, Cisco Systems, LogicaCMG, Reuters and Sony Ericsson amongst others, as well as playing an active role in new business.
Andrew Baiden commented: “We’re delighted to have David on board. His expertise in B2B technology complements our existing technology capabilities. We’ve always been strong in consumer tech and that’s been boosted this last year by Shiny Red, our blogging offering. But David brings valuable extra experience to us and we’re sure he will contribute to the growth of our technology business.”
Paul Allen, a director at Rainier PR, joins Red’s Consumer Technology team, reporting to Vicki Fox, on 21st January.
