Red Wins Sabre Award
Red’s campaign for McAfee has won the Consumer Technology Award at the Sabre Awards 2009.
At last night’s annual awards dinner, Red’s innovative campaign - The S.P.A.M. (Spammed Persistently All Month) Experiment – beat competition from across Europe to pick up the coveted award.
The S.P.A.M Experiment highlighted the dangers of spam emails to propel software security company McAfee out of the technology pages and into news headlines. The global campaign successfully cut through media and consumer apathy towards message security and spam, delivering over 900 pieces of coverage globally and approximately 500,000 hits to the dedicated microsite. Launch day stories on The S.P.A.M. Experiment also proved the top search on Google News in the UK.
