A New Way to Upload and Share Digital Photographs

Eye-Fi came to Red for help building awareness prior to the national launch of its wireless memory card for digital cameras which automatically transfers photographs to Web sites and computers . Research shows that 350 million digital images are captured every day, but four out of five are never shared. Eye-Fi plans to make it easier for consumers to set their memories free.

A venture-backed start-up, Eye-Fi wanted to make a name for itself as an innovator in the digital photography market. Red leveraged the company’s Series A funding announcement to launch the company and share Eye-Fi’s vision to change the market. We devised media positioning and messaging, developed materials and created a media strategy.

News of the company’s launch reached far and wide with articles and blog posts appearing in both the US and European editions of the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, CNET.com and Red Herring, to name but a few. Almost 200 articles and blog posts have appeared to-date. Red is continuing to build buzz before the product launch, and has introduced Eye-Fi to the nation’s top consumer magazines, influential product reviewers, gadget gurus and analysts.
