Eye-Fi: The “It” Gadget Two Years Running

After a successful launch of the Eye-Fi Card and near saturation in the media, Red was tasked with sustaining interest throughout 2008 and into 2009.

Red’s strategy included using customer testimonials, leveraging key partnerships, and reaching new target consumers – moms and frequent travelers.

Over the past year, Red has generated countless features in mainstream consumer media:

  • Eye-Fi has appeared four times on the Today Show, and three times on Good Morning America.
  • Almost every consumer and in-flight magazines has featured the Eye-Fi Card, in addition to positive reviews from the most influential consumer product reviewers.
  • Moms have read about the benefits of Eye-Fi in parenting magazines and mom blogs.

Red recently won a 2008 Sabre Award for best consumer electronics campaign.
