Red’s SF Provides Picture-Perfect Launch for Eye-Fi
Red SF launched Eye-Fi in June 2007 and within 48 hours over 100 news articles appeared extolling the virtues of the industry’s first wireless memory card for digital cameras.
After widespread initial tech and gadget media coverage, the mainstream consumer press was quick to follow. Within a month, outlets ranging from ABC World News and Parents magazine had carried news of Eye-Fi’s launch.
The launch’s momentum maintained throughout 2008 and propelled Eye-Fi into winning the CES “Last Gadget Standing” award. Recurring stories in top tier publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have appeared throughout the year.
