Silver Anvil Awards Honor Red

Red’s San Francisco team won a clutch of awards at last night’s Silver Anvil Awards in New York.

Created by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the awards recognize outstanding achievement in strategic public relations planning and implementation as well as design and execution of individual tactics.

The team won the following, much coveted awards for several McAfee campaigns:

Silver Anvil Award for Reputation/Brand Management
Awarded for the team’s ongoing work to rebuild McAfee’s reputation and help the company take the lead in internet security.

Bronze Anvil Award for Media Relations (Consumer Products)
Awarded for McAfee’s ‘Dangerous Celebrities’ campaign which demonstrated how cybercriminals use celebrities to lure internet users to fake websites that look legitimate but contain malware embedded in content.

Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation for Creative Tactics
Also awarded for McAfee’s ‘Dangerous Celebrities’ campaign.

Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation for Media Relations (Consumer Products)
Awarded for McAfee’s report into the carbon footprint of spam which highlighted the massive environmental impact of spam emails.
