National Five-a-Side Tour
Red was tasked by The Football Association and partner UMBRO with generating interest and driving sign up via the web for a new national men’s and women’s five-a-sides tournament offering amateur players the chance to play at new Wembley.
With UMBRO player John Terry the ‘face’ of the tournament, real John Terry’s were found to be spokespeople alongside Sir Trevor Brooking at the national launch. To raise local awareness, Red toured five-a-side centres across the country in a branded vehicle to encourage small sided footballers to embark on their own road to Wembley - and deployed UMBRO talent for media interviews and photocalls.
Over 120 pieces of national and regional coverage reached over 143million consumers and attracted over 2,000 teams to enter the competition in its first year.
