Taking 'Get Real, Get A Prescription' To The Next Level

With research revealing that over seven million UK adults bypass the healthcare system to obtain prescription only medicines without a prescription, Red Health helped Pfizer take the 'Get Real, Get a Prescription' campaign to the next level.

Our survey of UK adults and GPs benchmarked attitudes, motivations and behaviours and these findings were packaged for the media. Resulting coverage included breakfast television, national broadcast news, BBC's The One Show and a BBC documentary which heavily featured the campaign. National and regional newspapers also extensively reported on the research and campaign activities.

Cities across the UK hosted a consumer roadshow consisting of a novel 'counterfeit medicines laboratory'  to engage members of the public and as an opportunity to bring the story to life for local journalists.

We also used digital media to further amplify the campaign.  Activities included creating online partnerships with national media plus social media strategies to maximise the impact of existing digital resources.

This campaign won 'Best Communication of Survey, Market Research or Data' at the 2010 Communiqué Awards.  It was also a finalist in the 'Excellence in Healthcare Communications Using Media Relations' and 'Best Corporate Communications' categories.
