Re-imagining Shakespeare with Adobe
Media, celebrities and the gaming industry gathered this week for one of the biggest gaming launches of the year - Destiny 2 the sequel to the internationally acclaimed Destiny.
The Rumpus Rooms at the Mondrian in London was the location for an exclusive event where guests enjoyed gameplay set-ups alongside an evening of hospitality.
Red Consultancy were involved in all aspects of the activity including securing talent, co-ordinating media outreach, managing the guest list, leveraging media partnerships and working with talent throughout the evening to maximise media and content creation opportunities.
We hosted broadcast interviews for Sky News Entertainment and ITV with Jared Leto and his 30 Seconds to Mars bandmates. We set up broadcast and online interviews with Destiny 2 ambassadors World Heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua and England and Tottenham Hotspur footballer Eric Dier including Sky Sports News, Soccer AM, Football Focus and SPORTSbible.
Working closely with media partner UNILAD, we also helped build hype ahead of the launch with the creation of a four-part video series showcasing the different Destiny player classes. These light-hearted videos featured Destiny 2 ambassadors Eric Dier, Anthony Joshua and grime star Lady Leshurr.
Over 200 people attended the event and the hashtag #Destiny2 generated a reach of 15.5 million on Twitter in the UK in the first 24 hours. Coverage continues to roll in which, through a mixture of creative ideas and innovative stories, landed across a range of consumer media channels including women’s, sport, showbiz and tech pages.
