Singing the praises of unsung heroes
This week, we’ve been raising money in memory of our friend and colleague Mohamednur Tuccu who lost his life, alongside his wife Amal and daughter Amaya, in the Grenfell Tower fire.
We wanted to find a positive way to remember Mo and felt that raising money to fund a children’s project in his local community at the Eritrean Muslim Community Association would be a fitting tribute.
The main event was a fundraising football match (#MatchForMo) at Haringey Borough Football Club on Tuesday evening in honour of footie fan Mo which saw a fantastic turnout from Red employees past and present alongside Mo’s friends and family.
We also hosted an office bake sale as well as a raffle to further boost funds in the lead up to the match.
We’re absolutely delighted to report that thanks to everyone's efforts over £4,800 has been raised so far and Red will match-fund the final total.
A big shout out to everyone that contributed…#MatchForMo players and supporters; office bakers; Haringey Borough FC and the London FA for helping us stage the match; match official Luke Steele for donating his time for free; clients Activision and Spotify for some fantastic raffle prizes plus absolutely everyone who made donations.
Mo was one of life’s true gents and he'll always be in our hearts.
